I watched Miguel perform earlier this year and definitely loved his music.  Most people know him from his song with J.Cole.  However, his other stuff is equally as good… if not better.  I hope he comes out with new music ASAP.

SPOTLIGHT
Walter Rodney (March 23, 1942 – June 13, 1980)
For those of you who don’t already know, Walter Rodney was a political activist and influential Black intellectual from Guyana.  In my opinion and in the opinion of many, Rodney is considered to have one of the most brilliant minds throughout the Caribbean.  Influenced by leaders like Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X and Martin Luther King it is no surprise that he too was killed at too early of an age. On June 13th, Walter Rodney was bombed in his car by the dictorial regime of Guyana.  35,000 people attended his funeral despite the threat of dismissal from work.

I’d consider making my kids watch this.  I wonder what that says about me?

This is a moment I wish I had been a part of.

Zion I & The Grouch - Rockit Man feat. Silk E

I can’t help but like this song.  Every time I listen to it… I feel like I should put it on repeat, bob my head and reflect to the ‘out of this world’ feel.  With their official cd, “Heroes In The Healing Of A Nation”  released March 22nd… I recommend you check it out for yourself CLICK

Now this is BEAUTIFUL photography.
